Quiet time should be a regular part of the preschool child’s routine. More than just a time for the parents or teachers to take a break, quiet time is a period of intense development, building self-esteem, increasing academic skills, and learning more about the world they live in.
The best quiet time activities are those that work best for the individual child. Whatever that activity may be, it should provide educational information and promote the development of fine motor skills, critical thinking, and other academic lessons. When these activities are combined in game-like fun, children are more enthusiastic about using them. Comments are closed.
